[Music]
hey guys welcome back so today is
something totally different I have not
done one of these but I have been
requested to do one of these videos so I
thought well might as well do it because
I enjoy doing it and I've got time
what is that must be something new
anyways um I'm by no means a
professional at it anymore I did go to
beauty school many years ago but I still
use a lot of the techniques that I have
learned from school and some that I've
learned just watching YouTube videos so
I am going to be using a product I am
NOT sponsored to use this product but I
am showing you the product just so you
would be able to possibly look for the
same product in your own local store and
get the same beautiful setting else that
I'll get kiss yes I am using the French
acrylic sculpture kit kiss brand
I got everything from Target for 988 and
I am gonna be using some of my own
products as well as their products I
have my own files and buffers and things
like that because I just personally
don't like the files that come in the
kits but that's alright you know what
you use what you use or you use what you
have and I'm sure it will all turn out
perfect so further ado let's get started
now I'm also gonna say that this might
be a part to a part 1 in a part 2 video
because like I've said before I like to
heat my videos at a timeframe that isn't
overwhelming to watch the whole video of
so if I notice times getting over me and
I'm getting close to where I like to end
my videos I'll just come back into
another video just so that way then you
guys can stop pause get a drink pop some
popcorn cuddle up on the couch and watch
the second part here we go okay the
first thing which I already kind of
started doing just so that way it
wouldn't take as much time is I did go
ahead
and push my cuticles back but that's the
first thing you're gonna do is you're
going to go through and push all your
cuticles back to all of your nails make
sure that they are pushed back because
you're gonna want as much back so that
the product and this is not how you take
care of your hang nails but I did you
want as much of the product to not get
close to the skin because that will
cause lifting so I went through already
and pushed all my cuticles back and now
this is where I said I have my own stuff
so I have my own buffer but if you don't
have one of these you could use one of
these or you can even use the one that
comes in the kit it's not it I mean it's
it's they're not bad I just I don't
personally like them but it's either way
just go through and all you're gonna do
is just buff the nail a little bit cuz
you all you're doing is just taking the
shine off that's all you want to do take
the shine off of all of your nails
cuz that's also gonna help with the
sticking of the nails with the product
oops as I go and take my finger off with
it
so you're just gonna go through you're
gonna do this to all of your nails and
then when you're done with that then
you'll start to the next step so let me
finish this part and then I'll be bound
issues okay so the goal is you want to
get the tip a little bit where it's kind
of over here now because if you trying
to find a tip that okay because if you
get it a tip like this size it does fit
side to side but the problem with that
is also when you go to put the product
on its not going to come all the way
through its gonna stop at the edges and
that's going to cause lifting so what
you want to do is and these ones have
numbers at the tips which makes it
really nice so I have a size one for my
thumb but you this is a size one yep and
you're going to go through and you're
going to size all your nails up and I do
all of my nails all at the same time
because
I don't like doing one and then you know
it just or one hand and then another it
just makes it so complicated so I like
to do all of my sizing at the same time
I double them up so I know both my
thumb's are here and then I'll lay them
all out and then I'll be right back
and here I just want to show you too is
that sometimes the tips don't fit they
just when they come they really just do
not fit your fingers so what I have to
do is sometimes I have to file down the
sides of the of the tip to kind of be
able to size it up right with mine oh so
you see you know gnomes are all about
sculpting sculpting and how you can get
something to work the way you want it to
it's very interesting and sometimes you
can do great sometimes you can fail you
know what we're all human well enjoy
things so why not see so as you can see
I have all the nails lined up from thumb
to pinky they're all doubled so they all
have the same size and now the fun
begins to get them all intact in the
right way now for me I like doing one
hand at a time so not you know I could
get a little confusing but I like to do
one hand at a time and what you're gonna
do is you want to just put the glue in
the now well and when I say well the
well is the see-through part kind of the
more clear part down here that's where
you're gonna want to put your glue and
you just put a bead and just smear it
around you don't need a bunch cuz let me
tell you I have had situations where I
actually have glued my fingers to each
other I've glued my hands to tables the
stories I could tell you that I have
done to myself with superglue ya know
the fun it's
but you know again he lives you learn
right so we're just sticking those on
you want to push really hard make sure
that they're really intact as good as
possible and you're gonna do that
through all of the nails again you're
just gonna put a bead in the well of the
nail just do a drop smear it to make
sure it's all around the whole well of
the nail flip it over and boom okay so
now I have all my nails on for the first
hand I still don't on this hand but
remember I said I'm gonna clip these
ones before I do this hand so I have
again kiss Brandt I love the kiss brand
I've never had an issue with that brand
and so a most majority of all of my
stuff that you'll see today except for
my gel equipment is all kiss products
cuz I just I like it and I've had this
one this nail clipper for years and it
still works just like the day I bought
it so okay so what you're gonna do now
is you're gonna take your nail clipper
now if you do not have nail clippers you
could use fingernail clippers and you
can just clip from one side to the other
side twist it and it will come off or
you can use scissors regular scissors
and do it as well I prefer my nail clip
mine no cutter and that's just because
it kind of works with the shape of the
nose and I don't feel like you're gonna
have any splitting issues whereas if you
use scissors you can actually split the
tip and cause it to crack so but again
you use what you have so if you don't
have it it's okay it's not like it's
gonna be the end of the world and I'm
sure you'll be fine it's just preference
and I like my nail clipper so what I'm
gonna do is I'm gonna try and keep you
in view here and you're gonna find what
length you want I think you my
suggestion is you always want to click
click clip a little bit longer and then
work yourself shorter
because if you clip too short then you
obviously are stuck because you can't
make them grow so just find what lengths
whoo okay people decided to run away
from me you're gonna find what length
works best for you and then that's the
link that you do and you just go through
click them all click them all click them
all okay so now I'm gonna go and finish
my other my other hand and then I will
be right back after I'm finished with
getting my tips on and clipped for the
next session okay
so I have all my nails completely
finished on that part the tips part
sorry brain fart now I'm gonna give you
a tip on the glue so most people just
use the glue stick the cap back on but
if you want to be able to come back and
use your glue again just give it a quick
little just a wipe on the top make sure
you keep it covered at all times because
that way it doesn't dry out and the glue
doesn't spew out the top and then become
an issue when you want to take the lid
off again because yeah that's happened
to me too okay so the next thing that
I'm going to do and I'm going to use
their thing I know I keep saying I'm not
using yes I'm going to use it so what
I'm gonna do is so you're gonna take the
file part okay I'm taking this filer and
you're just gonna kind of file the tips
just a little bit not too not too crazy
just just a hair and basically you know
if you've done the job enough then like
okay where you can see kind of that
that's kind of what you want to file
down just a little bit not crazy the
rest of them look fine and then what
you're going to do is take one of your
file or sticks and you just want to kind
of pull away from the skin a little bit
and I'm gonna
lift you up and bring me bring me bring
you closer to me so what you're gonna do
is you're gonna move the skin back just
between the no and the the tip in the
skin and you're just gonna file to make
it all one even because remember I said
that the the tip might hang off a little
bit and that's okay but when it comes to
the time that you're gonna want to put
the product on you want to make sure
that that's all even because if it comes
down to it then it's not it's the
products not gonna be put on correctly
it's gonna hang off and get on your skin
and and again you'll have lifting issues
so I just kind of go through an exam and
make sure that you know the nail glue
didn't come out onto my skin and things
like that
here again you know you've got the the
tip kind of off of the nail so you just
gently file it till it's back to the
even amount you can even file it down a
little bit to make sure that it's all
kind of even cuz that's all going to
clear up over the product so you don't
have to worry too much about like making
sure that the crease now if you were to
do the French manicure you would not
have to worry about the line because the
line comes up on the tip of your nail
where it's supposed to leave land so
that wouldn't be an issue but because
I'm doing natural it really doesn't make
a difference because I'm painting over
it today so it really doesn't matter now
the next step you're gonna do is you
want to go through all of your nails
take the shine off the tips of your
nails if you possibly can to the best of
your ability because what that's gonna
do is hope the adhesive stick better so
it's just it's a good thing to do a good
step again you don't have to but you'll
notice that the product will stick
better and last even longer if you do
this step so I'm just suggesting you
to do it but again you don't have to
okay so now that all of that is done now
I do not file my tips I don't do any
shaping until after my product is on and
dried and cured then I do my shaping so
let me get the next step setup and then
I'll be back okay so this kit does not
come with a primer but I am going to use
my primer because well I like to have
primer so I am just gonna put some
primer on my nose know what you're gonna
do is you just put it in the natural no
part the your actual nail part you don't
put it on the tips because all this is
doing is making it to where the product
is going to stick to your natural mill
so you're just putting it on the natural
mill part here I'm forgetting that I'm
videotaping so you guys are probably
trying to see you know my Google I'll
put my face okay so let that set for
just a second okay and then the next
thing that you're gonna do is you're
gonna take the stick that it came with
okay it's very tiny you're gonna push
down in to the acrylic liquid push down
the your brush to make sure all the
bubbles are out of it you're gonna come
up take off the excess liquid go back
down drip what you're gonna do is you're
gonna put your brush in make up all pull
it up
and then what you're gonna do is put it
on your finger and you're just gonna
push it down just like that
again it's like sculpting that's what
you're doing you're just sculpting it
out okay
and you do have to work kind of fast on
it I will say that if you want it to
work right you have to work fast because
it does settle fast and you just keep
building up until you are satisfied with
the null set that you that you want
okay so the first null is done I don't
know what this is going on here I'm
gonna have to do a little bit of
research on that I think I messed
something up there but let's go on to
the second now and see what happens I
usually do gels so this is something new
for me as well you guys this is
something no
Oh much better much much much better I
don't know what I did with my thumb my
thumb is a little special but that
wouldn't that one did a lot better I
will say yeah he's looking he's looking
mighty fine
mighty fine let's do the next now
and the the goal is basically you're
just kind of just put it on as a ball
paint it down like nail polish that's
kind of how you do it you know as you
see if something needs a little bit you
know because like I said it's kind of
like building you just you know put a
little lawn and work down with it
but I mean I see that it's doing what
it's supposed to do I mean I don't know
about my thumb but so far so good
and you're wanting the liquid to kind of
soak up so that way when you put it on
you just kind of dance it out a little
bit and then you push it down dance it
back push it down pull forwards
basically yes I should probably use
better better directions right right the
biggest goal is do not get it on your
cuticles because you get it on your
cuticles you're gonna have a lifting
issue so that's that's the biggest thing
I would have to say is just do not get
it on your cuticles and you should be
okay it's just
and and the other thing to that's very
important is making sure that you get it
really good in the the middle because
that's where you know the biggest part
of your nails are gonna come up so
anyways let me come back and finish the
next hand and then we'll see what needs
to come happen
our apid happen afterwards okay so I
have all the product applied to every
one of the nails every one of the nails
every one of the nails the next part is
we're going to file now depending on how
well the product was applied some of
them you may not even have to really
file some you may have to file a little
bit more than than what you were
expecting for me my thumb for our shower
is gonna have to be filed because yeah I
had fun with the product the very first
book and so
yeah after you filed down some
[Music]
whoa
[Music]
and you don't want to stay in the same
spot for very long because they get hot
and you will burn your finger
now this one needed to be filed down
quite a bit because he always I said I
have fun with the product the first
puppy this products definitely lays
different than the professional product
but you still get the same look out of
it you just you kind of okay so after
I've gotten done filing them now I'm
just gonna go in and do some buffing
just above the the surface out just make
them more smoother and I like having my
handheld for this but it's not like you
have to it's not a must so it definitely
comes handy when you're trying to buff
them out and make them all nice and
smooth for the painting part which is my
favorite part so I just go through and
just buff them all out get them all
smooth see trying to get you anyway use
your excuse the fact that I have got
outer everywhere I don't know what
happens
[Music]
okay so this is the end of part 1 on my
nail tutorial sorry it says shouldn't
abrupt ending I kind of forgot to do an
ending result to my nails but you can
kind of see it in the video here I hope
you guys enjoyed please come back for
part two and you'll see the final
product thank you
